How do I change my hold music?

Hold music can be specific to the whole organization, groups, or individual users.

Universal Hold Music

1. If you would like to use your own hold music, follow the instructions below for “Custom Hold Music“
2. From the top toolbar select Settings
3. Under the Account category, select Locations
4. Select the location (most likely you will just have one location appear)
5. Navigate to the left pane and select Voice
6. Click on the Edit button in the top right of the ‘Voice Preferences’ pane
7. From the drop down box under Hold Preferences, select your new hold music.
8. Press Save at the bottom of the pane

Custom Hold Music

1. Upload your music as a file. Do that here.
2. From the top toolbar select Settings
3. Under the Voice category, select Hold Music
4. Click the blue + Add button in the upper right corner
5. Give the playlist a name
6. Optional: Toggle ON any other options you wish (Play Playlist as Stream means people put on hold will hear real time music. The music/message won’t start from the beginning with this option)
7. Press Save at the bottom of the pane
8. Select the playlist you wish to add music to
9. Click the blue + Add button in the ‘Hold Music Playlist’ pane
10. From the drop down list, select the file or file schedule you wish to use
11. Press Save
12. From the top toolbar select Settings
13. Under the Account category, select Locations
14. Select your location
15. Navigate to the left pane and select Voice
16. Click on the Edit button in the top right of the ‘Voice Preferences’ pane
17. Form the drop down box under Hold Preferences, select your new hold music
18. Press Save at the bottom of the pane

Ring Group Hold Music

1. From the top toolbar select Settings
2. Under the Voice category, select Ring Groups
3. Select the Ring Group you wish to edit
4. Click on the Edit button in the top right of the ‘Ring Group Controls’ pane
5. From the Hold Music drop down list, select one of the options. If you would like to use your own music, follow steps 3-11 above for “Custom Hold Music”
6. Press Save at the bottom of the pane

User Hold Music

1. From the top toolbar select Settings
2. Under the Account category, select Users
3. From the left pane, select Voice
4. Click on the Edit button in the top right of the ‘Extension Information’ pane
5. From the Hold Music drop down list, select one of the options. If you would like to use your own music, follow steps 3-11 above for “Custom Hold Music“
6. Press Save at the bottom of the pane

Device Hold Music

1. From the top toolbar select Settings
2. Under the Account category, select Devices
3. Select the device you wish to edit
4. From the left pane, select Voice
5. Click on the Edit button in the top right of the ‘Device Line Info’ pane
6. From the Hold Music drop down list, select one of the options. If you would like to use your own music, follow steps 3-11 above for “Custom Hold Music“
7. Press Save at the bottom of the pane

Custom Voicemail Messages

1. From the top toolbar, select Settings
2. From the Voice category, select Inboxes
3. Select the inbox you wish to add a hold message to. Click here to create an inbox.
4. From the left pane, select Voicemail Settings
5. In the ‘Greetings Settings’ right pane, select the edit button in the top right
6. Select a file/file schedule from the ‘Greeting Prompt’ drop down menu
7. Alternatively you can type out the text in the ‘Text To Speech Greeting Prompt’. If you do so, click the play button right next to the input field to cache the file.
8. Press Save
