Parking lots act as a universal shared hold for the location. Callers placed on park can be picked up by anyone else that has access to the parking lot.
Creating a parking lot
- From the top toolbar, select Settings
- Under the Voice category, select Parking Lots
- Click the blue + Add button in the top right
- Give the Parking Lot a name (e.g. Avidbit Parking)
- Select an access code (usually leave at 200). This is a reference to the extension number. If you already have devices that use the first few numbers in 200 as their extension, switch this to 300.
- Select the number of stalls you will need. (In other words, how many parking lots do you want available?) Most people use 2 stalls.
- Optional: Choose ‘Parking Lot Hold Music’ and select which hold music you want to use. By default, the Location hold music is what will play if you do not select any in this menu.
- Optional: Toggle ON ‘Accept Multiple Calls Per Stall’. This acts as a first in first out mechanic. This allows you to put multiple people into park, but when you press pickup a call from park, it will connect you with the first person in the queue.
- Optional: Type in or select a greeting to be played upon being placed into a parking lot
- Press Save
